Purpose and accountability
Bakesim aims to publish accurate, original and useful sports journalism. Editorial decisions are guided by reader value, evidence, relevance and fairness. A human editor is accountable for every publication decision.
Sources and verification
We prefer official competitions, clubs, governing bodies, verified sports-data providers and reputable independent reporting. Material factual claims should be supported by the strongest available evidence and corroborated when practical. Headlines, social posts and search snippets are discovery leads, not proof.
Information can change quickly. We distinguish confirmed facts from reports, estimates and editorial interpretation. If dependable evidence is unavailable or sources materially disagree, we qualify or omit the claim.
Match previews and predictions
Previews should identify the competition and fixture, explain each team’s recent form separately, keep head-to-head results distinct, and present lineup or availability information only when evidence supports it. Predictions are clearly labelled editorial analysis, never certainty or betting advice.
AI-assisted work
Technology may assist with research organization, data comparison, drafting, formatting, visual production and quality checks. It does not replace editorial judgment. We do not publish raw AI output without review.
Editors must verify names, dates, scores, statistics, quotations, injuries, suspensions, transfers, kickoff details, player identities and source attribution before publication. Unsupported claims, fabricated quotations and invented sources are prohibited.
Originality, quotations and attribution
We do not knowingly copy another publisher’s work or present outside reporting as our own. Quotations must be accurate, limited to what is editorially necessary and attributed. Paraphrased reporting must still identify its source when the information is not independently established.
Images, logos and rights
Images, club crests and other protected material should be used only with an appropriate licence, permission or defensible editorial basis. Captions and source information should be provided where appropriate. A logo’s appearance does not imply club endorsement.
Bylines, updates and corrections
Articles should identify their author and publication or review date. Material corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy. Developing articles may be updated as reliable information changes.
Editorial independence and conflicts
Advertising, affiliates, data providers, clubs and commercial partners do not determine our conclusions. Writers and editors should disclose material conflicts of interest and step away from coverage where independence cannot reasonably be maintained.
Advertising, sponsorships and affiliate links
Advertisements are visually separated from editorial content. Sponsored content, paid placements and affiliate relationships will be clearly disclosed when applicable. Commercial relationships do not guarantee favourable coverage.
